The curation of the Awaken Retreats are profound and offer such a sense of peace, as Kelsey & Preston guide with grace and ease. The movement from backpacking and yoga clear the blockages and the stillness weaved into each day allows for an opportunity to deeply recharge. As a community, we are able to remember the most fundamental aspects to our happiness, eating, sleeping, singing, moving and playing together in nature. In this time, we remember that all flourishing is mutual. In this time, we support ourselves & each other on this growing path to awakening.

I encourage you to ask yourself, do I desire to offer these gifts of awakening to myself?

“I was able to attend an AWAKEN yoga retreat in the winter, and a backpacking retreat in the summer, and loved every minute of both. Kelsey and Preston are two incredible humans who clearly have a calling and passion for what they do. This was my first yoga retreat, and my first backpacking trip, and I can't wait to do more of each! They nudged me out of my comfort zone in all the right ways, and challenged me to pause, reflect, and soak up the wisdom of nature. It was exactly what I needed and was looking for in a retreat. THANK YOU.”

The retreat was great for all the reasons you would want. Excellent structure of meaningful events ranging from fun physical practices to deep exploration of mental and spiritual processes. Phenomenal nourishing foods that honor the temple of the body. And a gorgeous setting, the mountains, the trees, the views, the residence space 😍.

What really set this retreat apart was the creation of community. Kelsey has deep roots in cultivating group connections, and Preston only magnifies this quality. After only one weekend I genuinely felt connected to the group of (20?). Family style meals, space for group members to share and be heard, lots of mini side activities openly encouraged. No strict follow the schedule policy, while still checking in to make sure all participants were pleased with available offerings. Preston and Kelsey held the space to awaken beautifully. And I left with new friends and a desire to re-awaken again and again.”

The retreat was just what I needed to reset and slow down. I went into the weekend not knowing what to expect and aware that I am a beginner in the world of yoga. I am also four years away from 60 and knew I was the oldest person in the entire house, however I realized upon arrival that I would meet many walks of life at different levels of yoga and that the weekend was about much more than just yoga. We gathered for introductions, followed by a beautiful mindfulness session and a delicious dinner with wonderful conversation and fellowship. The weekend was filled with laughter and peacefulness, and learning how to just be. The lodge helped set the stage with incredible snow-covered mountains and crisp, cold sunshine. We journaled, we got creative, we walked in the snow, we ate delicious, healthy food, we practiced yoga, and we all learned a lot about ourselves and each other. I would highly recommend a retreat with Awaken!
